History

PRO-DIG began the manufacture of hydraulic drive heads in 1999 from its UK manufacturing facility. In 2006 PRO-DIG expanded its manufacturing and engineering resources to a site in Lawrence, KS to serve its North, South and Central American markets. The success of PRO-DIG is a result of innovative application solutions and world class manufacturing capability coupled with outstanding customer service. PRO-DIG understands the needs of its customers and their applications and markets. PRO-DIG invests heavily in research and design of new and innovative products. PRO-DIG was the industry pioneer of Variable Speed hydraulic drive heads for the installation of helical screw piles. Variable Speed drive heads offer significant improvements in installation times.

PRO-DIG were the innovators behind the Intelli-Tork Monitoring System which has revolutionized the helical screw pile installation process. The Intelli-Tork system displays and records actual torque forces to an accuracy of one quarter of one percent.  The Intelli-Tork is the only device that displays and records actual torque and it has the capability to record angle of installation, Depth, Shaft speed and GPS Positioning. The system is totally wireless, robust and is very easy to set up and use.

In 2012, PRO-DIG acquired Universal Augers, Ltd. Universal Augers are a UK based manufacturer of foundation tools and for 3 decades have been the number one auger manufacturer in Europe. The company was rebranded as PRO-DIG Europe, Ltd. and is headed by Nic Brooker who has 35 year's experience in the foundation drilling industry.

PRO-DIG continues to invest heavily in its facility and people. In 2013 PRO-DIG completed the installation of its unique state-of-the-art torque test facility. The test facility allows us to test our drive head products and the Intelli-Tork system. In addition we are able to calibrate these products. All calibrations are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology Guidelines. The test facility employs sophisticated computer programming and software and it is totally automated. The test facility has a testing range of up to 180K Ft-Lbs of torque.

In the winter of 2013, PRO-DIG completed the construction of a 22K square foot manufacturing facility in Elwood, KS. The new facility has state-of-the-art CNC machinery, extensive fabrication capabilities, and in-house flight press.

PRO-DIG measures its success by the high levels of repeat business it generates. Happy and satisfied customers keep our business growing year by year.
